Intarsia and relief carving
Astrid Beatriz creates original works, portraits, and commisioned pieces. She has been featured in various publications including Popular Woodworking Magazine, and her art has shown in multiple exhibitions and art galleries.
She uses a scrollsaw, carving knives, and her own skill, imagination, and experience to create art that has texture and magic that you can actually feel. Follow our Instagram account to see what she is working on now.
She currently has pieces on display at Coalition Art Gallery as part of their Hispanic Heritage Month Art show, and can also be found for sale at various markets. She has had shows at various cafes in Portland, made many portraits and tributes, and is planning to do lots more. If you are interested in a piece, contact us. If you are interested in commisioning a portrait, e-mail us with a photo(s), the size you are interested in, and Astrid will sketch up a picture. Once the picture is approved you must place a non-refundable 50% deposit before cutting starts. After that you will recieve updates and once the piece is finished you pay the other 50% (plus shipping if necessary). Prices start at $175 depending on size and complexity and can take up to six weeks to complete.
